Julie Bender is Frontenac’s chief financial officer, with responsibility for the firm’s financial administration, as well as limited partner reporting and communications. Prior to joining Frontenac in 2004, she worked in M&A advisory at The Chicago Corporation and Heller Financial. She also worked in public accounting and as a staff accountant at Frontenac before business school. She has BS in Accounting from Indiana University and received a Master’s degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a certified public accountant.

KAREN C. FANELLI
Finance & Compliance Advisor

Karen Fanelli is Frontenac’s former chief financial officer. She joined Frontenac in 1988 with previous experience at Stein Roe & Farnham and Ernst & Young. She graduated from the University of Missouri with highest honors and is a certified public accountant.

Prior to joining Frontenac in 2008, Brian Rowe worked for Rowe & Associates and Platinum Venture Partners. He has BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. He is a certified public accountant.

Prior to joining Frontenac in 2012, Kristen Trotta worked for Blackman Kallick, a public accounting firm. She has BS in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University.
