Excellarate is a provider of outsourced application development, agile software development, UI/UX design and managed software solutions for complex, highly regulated industries. Frontenac recapitalized the Prime Technology Group in 2019. At the end of 2020, Prime merged with Synerzip and the combined business was subsequently rebranded as Excellarate in 2021.

Frontenac sold Excellarate in 2023 to Encora, a global Next-Gen product engineering services provider backed by private equity firms Advent International and Warburg Pincus.
